The Vernon D. & Florence E. Roosa Fund is qualified under the tax-exempt status of Block Island Ecumenical Ministries, Inc., which is a religious association qualified as a public foundation under the Internal Revenue Code. The fund was established in 2011 with a generous gift from the Vernon D. and Florence E. Roosa Family Foundation. The Roosa Fund continues the philanthropic priorities of the late Florence E. Roosa and the Trustees of the Foundation, while adapting to the evolving needs of Block Island and the world.
